Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez temporarily suspended positive drug tests

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez has been incidentally suspended by Nevada boxing experts over positive medication tests, putting his May 5 title rematch with Gennady Golovkin in risk.

The Mexican middleweight restored a positive example for following levels of the disallowed substance Clenbuterol toward the start of the month, provoking an examination by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

Canelo’s conflict with Golovkin last September dubiously finished in a draw and the match is planned to meet again at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

“Mr. Alvarez is briefly suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission per the official chief for his antagonistic explanatory discoveries, that being Clenbuterol, on February 17 and 20,” an announcement by commission official executive Bob Bennett said.

“A commission hearing is planned for April 10, 2018, to get notification from Mr. Alvarez or for Mr. Alvarez to go to.”

Brilliant Boy Promotions, who handle Alvarez, repeated their position that the contender had not deliberately taken a restricted medication.

“We regard the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s procedure and will vivaciously introduce Canelo’s case all through,” they said in an announcement.

“Over his vocation, Canelo has tried clean in excess of 90 times and could never deliberately take a restricted substance.”

In a prior articulation, Golden Boy had said Canelo’s sure example was reliable with meat tainting “which has affected many competitors in Mexico in the course of the most recent years”.
